Features: I firmly believe in the value of this book. The person who provides us with teachings in this book is the renowned Professor Jing Kening from China. He is a scholar, thinker, and a strong life force. It can be said that his life has been dedicated to living, not secluded in a study, but rather tempered in the storms of society, thus understanding the meaning of life and the truth of existence more deeply. This is a book that was not planned or deliberately curated. The content discussed mostly consists of themes that I and the author have encountered casually or occasionally over the past two decades. The author is an accomplished journalist and the first batch of graduates when I returned to the university teaching field 25 years ago. He is exceptionally talented and eager for knowledge, immersing himself in books, either absorbing them silently or seeking guidance personally. As a result, since graduation, he has been close to me and has become a member of my family, naturally becoming a frequent participant in my cultural salon-style living room. In conversations, the exploration of issues is simple, natural, and unrestrained. However, the arguments on the topics have naturally undergone the filtration of thought. Unexpectedly, the speaker was unintentional, but the listener was. My modest and unassuming insights have, like scattered fragments of jade, illuminated the author's thoughts. Fertilized in the fertile soil of the author's heart, they grew like seeds, eventually becoming a tree blooming with the flowers of knowledge. This is truly "planting willows without intention, yet they grow into shade." Naturally, I am extremely gratified by this. However, I dare not hope that this book can offer some inspiration to those seeking knowledge; this can only be judged and evaluated by the readers. Here, the author would like to emphasize that the "Reflections on the Conversation" after each chapter topic in this book is indeed the essence of the book. If the conversation records in this book are the crystallization of the author's thoughts, then "Reflections on the Conversation" are the crystallization of the author's independent thinking, and are well worth reading and savoring.
