Features: This book is the second collection of the "Science and Life" series programs from the "The Promise of the Century" column. The selected programs span from the end of last year to early April this year. Over these five months, "Science and Life" has been highly favored by a broad audience and the science community. The program has received significant attention from Beijing Television Station, not only being broadcast in a 30-minute version on Channel 1 but also in a 50-minute version on Channel 3. The program team was awarded the title of "National Advanced Collective in Science Popularization" by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the China Association for Science and Technology at the end of last year. The table of contents of this book is arranged in the order of program broadcasts, while the main text largely retains the format and original conversation flow of the programs. We have made some textual edits to the spoken conversations to make them clearer and more readable.
