Patient's question:
Every sexual intercourse lasts no less than one minute. I don't know what the cause of premature ejaculation is. During a health check-up, I was told I have varicocele, but I didn't take it seriously and didn't seek treatment. Now I'm starting to worry. Hello, is there a relationship between premature ejaculation and varicocele?Doctor's answer:
From a clinical diagnostic perspective, it has been confirmed that varicocele is associated with chronic prostatitis and premature ejaculation, further clarifying the direction for the future treatment of chronic prostatitis and premature ejaculation. The number of patients with mild to moderate varicocele who also exhibit symptoms of chronic prostatitis has been increasing. There are communicating branches between the internal spermatic veins within the testes and the prostatic venous plexus. Therefore, when varicocele occurs, the intravascular pressure in the internal spermatic veins is high, while the intravascular pressure in the prostatic veins is low. Venous blood flows from the internal spermatic veins to the prostate through these communicating branches, which can lead to congestion in the prostate. This reduces local resistance, making it easier for prostatitis to recur and be difficult to heal on its own.
