Patient's question:
The right epididymal head area is approximately 25×23mm, with a 12;11mm echo mass about the size of the epididymal tail; an 8;10mm tunica vaginalis shows a 10mm echo area. CDFI demonstrates left varicocele and rich epididymal blood flow. MRI shows no abnormalities in both testes. There is a minimal amount of fluid in both tunica albuginea. MRI reveals a cyst in the right epididymal head area extending to the left epididymal tail, with consideration of epididymal inflammation changes. Mild varicocele.Doctor's answer:
Acute orchitis is often secondary to infections of the urethra, prostate, or seminal vesicles. Chronic orchitis is often caused by incomplete treatment during the acute phase. Both are diseases caused by bacterial infections. The transmission routes are as follows: retrograde epididymal transmission, lymphatic spread, hemorrhagic transmission, mental trauma, duct or instrumental injury, drugs, etc. Intravenous administration of anti-inflammatory drugs, primarily cephalosporins, local cold compresses, a light diet, avoiding spicy foods, and absolute prohibition of alcohol are generally recommended. Recovery is usually complete within about two weeks.
