Public Administration: Role Simulation and Case Studies in Management helps readers face potential challenges through 24 contemporary role-playing case studies involving public and non-public sectors—such as how to ensure public safety at airports, how to determine whether a collision was accidental or sexual harassment, how to address low morale and potential turnover, how to assist a visionary boss in project management, and how to handle racial discrimination in police departments.
"An excellent and ingenious idea!" Bill Chappell, a professor at Columbus State University, praised the book's approach. Joseph O'Hare, a professor at Eastern Michigan University, remarked, "This book is an ideal supplement for an introductory course in public administration. One notable feature is the inclusion of municipal-related cases, which cover a wide range of topics." By studying these cases, future public administrators will find themselves becoming more thoughtful and effective managers.
