Witch Winnie lives in a black house in the forest. The outside of the house is black, and the inside is black too; the carpet is black, and the chairs are black; the bed is black, and the sheets and blankets are black. Even—-the bathroom is black!!
Winnie and her cat live in this black house. The cat's name is Wibber, and of course, it is black too—-and this is exactly where the trouble begins.
When Wibber is sitting in the chair with its eyes open, Winnie can see it because she always sees its eyes. But when Wibber closes its eyes to sleep, Winnie can't see it at all, so she sits on top of it.
When Wibber is lying on the carpet with its eyes open, Winnie can see it because she always sees its eyes.
