What should be done if the prostate calcification is severe?

Patient's question:

I had lower abdominal and groin pain 3 months ago, with a sensation of heaviness when standing, which was very painful, but it went away when I lay down. Later, I went to the hospital for an ultrasound, which showed nothing, and then had a pelvic CT, which revealed slightly rounded spermatic cords. The doctor prescribed 2 boxes of Lai Xin, and the symptoms later disappeared, so I didn’t pay much attention. On May 11th, I had sexual intercourse twice, and again had blood in my semen during the second time. On the 16th, I had sex again, and it was still blood in the semen, but the color was darker. On the 17th, I went to the hospital for an ultrasound, which showed "multiple strong echo spots at the junction of the inner and outer glands." It was diagnosed as "prostatic calcification." The outpatient doctor diagnosed it as chronic prostatitis, which caused seminal vesiculitis, leading to blood in the semen. The doctor prescribed Minocycline Hydrochloride capsules, Yinhua Muyanlin tablets, and Shaba Zong soft capsules. Are these medications appropriate?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatic calcifications are nothing to worry about; they have no significant clinical significance, just like moles on the skin—it's all fine. Taking these medications is also not a problem. Yinhuai Muyanling can be taken or not taken. As for hematospermia, it may look quite alarming, and I completely understand your concern. However, in clinical diagnosis, most cases of hematospermia can resolve on their own. It will never interfere with anything. Appropriately increasing the frequency of sexual activity can help alleviate it. You can start by gradually having sex to see if the color normalizes, and then gradually return to your usual routine.
