Jinhu Erdui (Selected Works of Wang Shixiang, Vol. 1-2)

Author: Wang Shixiang
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2007-01-18
Features: Except for a few chapters and a handful of poems, all the works collected in Two Piles were written after Wang Shixiang compiled Fleeting Fragments in 1996. At that time, his left eye was already blind, and his right eye's cataracts were worsening, making writing extremely difficult. As a result, there are very few manuscripts, most of which are short pieces. He considered Fleeting Fragments even more trivial and, feeling deeply ashamed, ashamed. Now, at the age of eighty-nine, his energy is declining, and he knows he can no longer compile Three Piles. Wang Shixiang selected Fleeting Fragments, Two Piles as a continuation of Fleeting Fragments, with only a few chapters and poems being his early works, while the rest were written after the publication of Fleeting Fragments. Volume One includes seven categories: Reminiscences, Calligraphy and Painting, Furniture, Lacquerware, Crafts, Leisure Activities, and Miscellaneous Manuscripts, totaling over sixty pieces. Volume Two contains twenty-six poems, as well as three rare and valuable ancient texts: Painting Explanations, New Methods for Training Hawks and Falcons, and New Words on Furnaces.
