Features: This book is primarily divided into nine parts based on the different investigators. Part 1 consists of surveys conducted by relevant departments and individuals in Nanjing during the 1980s. For example, in the early 1980s, the office responsible for the historical compilation, museum establishment, and monument erection of the "Nanjing Massacre" conducted surveys (whose survey materials were mainly included in the book "Materials on the Nanjing Massacre by the Invading Japanese Forces," published by Jiangsu Ancient Books Publishing House in 1985); around 1984, the survey conducted by the office responsible for the cultural relic review in Yuhuatai District, Nanjing, and the comprehensive survey of Nanjing Massacre victims, survivors, and witnesses; in 1984, the survey by the Party History Office of Jiangpu County; and in the mid-1980s, the survey by Mr. Xu Zhigeng. Parts 2 to 8 are surveys conducted by six universities in the Nanjing area since the 1990s, including Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Hohai University, Nanjing Agricultural University, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as retired professors such as Fei Zhongxing. Among them, reporter Dai Yuanzhi of the China Youth News Agency participated in and hosted the surveys at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing Agricultural University, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The survey materials in the above sections form the main part of this book, all of which are first-hand and oral materials, have never been publicly published, and hold extremely high historical value. Part 9 consists of news reports and newspaper interviews with Nanjing Massacre survivors.
