By tracing the flow to uncover the sources, it has finally identified 200 maternal category meaning-based character origins and 960 offspring shape-meaning-sound-rhyme character origins. These are the two unique textual genes of ancient Chinese characters, which led to the transformation of ideographic characters into phono-semantic expression.
These 1,160 maternal body characters are sufficient to comprehensively combine ancient and modern Chinese characters, and even allow later generations to freely combine the maternal category pictographs and offspring shape-meaning-sound symbols in multiple forms, creating an endless cycle of character evolution. This has finally solved the long-standing mystery of the origin of Chinese characters.
