Features: To promote the coordinated development between China's nature reserves and local communities, and to explore ways to alleviate the increasingly intense conflicts between them, the College of Humanities and Development Studies at China Agricultural University, under the funding of the World Wildlife Fund (China) (WWF-China), organized the "China Nature Reserve Collaborative Management Research" project. The study selected 11 nature reserves nationwide to conduct case studies on collaborative management, resulting in a series of case study reports. At the same time, it reviewed and analyzed relevant policies, laws, theories, and practices of collaborative management in nature reserves both domestically and internationally, focusing on themes such as nature reserve laws and policies, community-based resource co-management in China's nature reserves, and community-led conservation. On this basis, the study proposes three reference principles and ten specific legislative recommendations for the policy-making and legislation of China's nature reserves from the community perspective and with a co-management model as the starting point. This book compiles all the results of the study, with the aim of facilitating communication and exchange with more colleagues who are concerned about and committed to the coordinated and sustainable development of nature reserves.
