I had the privilege of participating in parliamentary exchange activities led by Comrade Zeng Jianhui and am now a reader of his book "Parliamentary Diplomacy—Interaction and Confrontation." After reading it, I found it immensely beneficial. The book collects excerpts from Comrade Zeng Jianhui's conversations with foreign parliamentarians and political figures during his tenure on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress (March 1998–March 2003). Through these conversations, one can gain insight into the recent history, content, and achievements of China's parliamentary diplomacy. Many of the dialogues include speeches by Comrade Zeng Jianhui on behalf of the Chinese side, as well as responses from foreign counterparts, creating vivid exchanges. Some conversations vividly depict the confrontational atmosphere between the two sides, making the reader feel as if they are witnessing the scene firsthand. From the dialogues, one can see Comrade Zeng Jianhui's firm stance, outstanding diplomatic skills, and publicity artistry in foreign interactions.
