Features: From the origin of educational activities, teachers have a natural connection with curriculum, as they are the main subjects of curriculum implementation. However, since the emergence of modern education based on industrial civilization, teachers have gradually distanced themselves from the process of curriculum development and research, becoming mere recipients of predetermined curriculum materials. In multiple curriculum reforms since the 20th century, teachers have almost been on the periphery of curriculum reform. The failure of reforms has led to widespread dissatisfaction, prompting the proposal of the concept "Teacher Participation in Curriculum Reform." During my doctoral studies, I chose this concept as my research topic and conducted comprehensive research. Below, I will elaborate on the background, research objectives, and methods of the study, as well as its significance, and provide definitions for relevant terms.
This study aims to explore the theoretical rationality and practical feasibility of teacher participation in curriculum reform. Addressing these questions will help people grasp new directions in curriculum research and advance the process of curriculum reform more rationally.
