Features: As a uniquely outstanding comedy film master in the world today, Woody Allen's sense of humor seems to be innate. At the age of 15, he began writing columns for newspapers and even self-authored and performed "single-item crosstalk" for a period. For decades since then until now, he has indulged in his humorous talent, crafting jokes and funny stories, writing essays, novels, and scripts, and filmmaking has brought him fame and success. Allen's humor carries a distinct New York intellectual style. He plays with the world in a nonsensical and witty manner: subverting traditional values, parodying classic texts, and mercilessly mocking various trendy academic theories and methods. He seems to always be at odds with intellectuals. Yet, behind those neurotic, selfish, narcissistic, and suspiciously funny images, there is clearly a reflection of himself—Woody Allen is a master of transformation, never forgetting to pluck his own feathers and mock himself. This is the wisdom of his humor, and for this reason, the self-assured French have called him the only intellectual in the American film industry. Mensa's Whores collects articles he has published in various publications. "The story may take place in a nightclub in the 1940s or in the modern era, no matter how, I can spend 10 months in the world I construct." Readers who love Woody Allen's films will discover his strange literary talent in this book, allowing them to better understand how his slightly loose screw world is both adorable and tragic.
