Features: Standing on the shoulders of giants – Lectures by Nobel laureates at Peking University, this book enables faculty and students to engage in face-to-face exchanges with economists worldwide, broadening their international perspectives and understanding the cutting edge of economic research. We have observed the rapid and steady economic development of China in recent years. However, the implementation process has also given rise to various uniquely Chinese economic phenomena and challenges, which have attracted the attention of economists globally. We believe that the research of world-renowned economists and their lectures at Peking University will further advance Chinese economics and contribute to China's economic growth.
Standing on the shoulders of giants – Lectures by Nobel laureates at Peking University, features 14 recorded lectures by eight Nobel laureates in economic science, including James Heckman, Robert Fogel, Douglass North, Robert Mundell, James Mirrlees, Amartya Sen, Joseph Stiglitz, and Vernon Smith. Through these lectures, we hope to learn from the experiences and insights of these master economists, understand how to contribute to the development of economics, and seize the opportunities presented to Chinese economics by the times.
