Features: The History of the Hui People was supported by the Social Science Fund of the Chinese Artists' Association, the National Ethnic Affairs Commission's "Eighth Five-Year Plan" Social Science Research Project, and the Ningxia "Eighth Five-Year Plan" Social Science Publishing Plan. After years of research and exploration by scholars of both Han and Hui ethnicities, and through diligent writing, it has now been officially published by the Ningxia People's Publishing House! This is an important achievement in the study of the Hui people in China and will also play a certain role in promoting future research on the Hui people. It is a relatively comprehensive and distinctive general history of the Hui people. The book discusses the origins and consolidation of the Hui people from the perspective of the development of China's foreign relations; places the Hui people within the broader context of Chinese historical development, detailing their political activities and economic structures; and explores the commonalities and individualities of the Hui people, the connotations of their culture, and the sinicization of Islamic culture from the perspective of the pluralistic integration of the Chinese nation. It is believed that the publication of this history of the Hui people will lay a solid foundation for the future publication of more detailed and academically rigorous histories of the Hui people.
