Features: The Conspiracy of Fiesco tells the story of a commoner's daughter and a nobleman's love, and how it is destroyed by conspiracy, reflecting the progressive youth's demand to break the feudal class system and fight for equality. On the other hand, Schiller, in this work, strives to expose the corruption and crimes of the German feudal aristocracy. Many of the stories in the play are directly drawn from the social reality of Germany at the time, such as the sale of young men, which was a real crime committed by Duke Eugene of Württemberg.
