Features: Researching Putnam's philosophy of science, it also has some. During my undergraduate studies in philosophy at Beijing Normal University, I became interested in philosophical issues in natural science. Professor Wang Desheng inspired and encouraged me in this area of study, and my graduation thesis was titled "The Historical Development of Atomism and Its Philosophical Problems." Later, I taught and pursued a master's degree at Sichuan Normal University, publishing several philosophical papers all related to philosophical issues in science. I enjoy reading Western philosophy of science works and also wish to conduct some research. When I discussed this with Professor Luo Tianyin, he said, "Putnam is a figure worth studying." Due to various reasons, I did not take this seriously at the time. For Chinese scholars studying Western disciplines, it is both difficult and easy. Having spent many years in academia, I deeply understand that behind the superficial hustle and bustle, scholars are often lonely and isolated. One might be lucky to meet a few enthusiastic individuals, but genuine expert guidance and collaboration are almost unattainable. On the easier side, many academic fields remain uncharted territories. As long as one does not abandon academia for business or politics, does not go abroad to work for money, and remains dedicated and persistent, there will surely be rewards. Achieving a voice in a particular field is not difficult, as teachers, friends, and colleagues are all busy with their own affairs, and it is natural for one to have the final say. I believe Dr. Xing Guoqiang understands the principle of "learning has no end" and will not be satisfied with his current achievements. I look forward to reading his next major work in the years to come.
