Is a cold one of the symptoms of AIDS?

Patient's question:

I just had sex with my boyfriend and now I'm questioning if he has HIV. I'm not sure how to confirm, and this morning I woke up feeling a bit like I have a cold and feeling very weak all over. But I didn't eat breakfast, so I don't know if it's because I didn't eat. I looked up the early symptoms of HIV, and they are all like a cold. Is a cold one of the symptoms of HIV?

Doctor's answer:

When HIV is transmitted, 1, HIV infection: After being infected with HIV, there are no clinical diagnostic symptoms, only a positive HIV antibody test in the blood. In most cases, there may be no symptoms for more than twenty years. 2, AIDS-related complex: The patient develops two or more unexplained lymph node enlargements outside the groin that persist for more than 3 months, along with systemic symptoms such as fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, night sweats, etc. At least two of the above symptoms and two abnormal HIV laboratory tests can confirm AIDS-related complex.
