Low libido and ED: What can be done?

Patient's question:

Recently, I've been a bit mentally stressed and took some medication to treat it. But these past few days, I feel like I have no libido and some symptoms of premature ejaculation. What's going on? Is it because of the anti-stress medication I took while treating the illness?

Doctor's answer:

Some drugs can lead to male sexual dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and abnormal ejaculation. Common examples include antihypertensive drugs: ① Almost all antihypertensive drugs have varying degrees of side effects that cause sexual dysfunction. ② Antipsychotic drugs: Similar to antihypertensive drugs. ③ Nephrotoxic drugs: Long-term use of heroin, methadone, and medium doses of cannabis can lead to sexual dysfunction; ④ Other drugs: Cimetidine, nitrogen mustard, vincristine, digoxin, ethinyl estradiol, and 6—2—17 hydroxyprogesterone can cause decreased libido.
