Is premature ejaculation related to excessive foreskin?

Patient's question:

Every time I have sex with my partner, I can't last very long. The premature ejaculation happens before I even penetrate, and sometimes even after I do, I can't last more than a minute or two. I don't know what the reason is. My penis foreskin is quite long. I want to ask if premature ejaculation is related to a long foreskin?

Doctor's answer:

Erectile preoccupation caused by excessive foreskin is most common when the foreskin normally covers the glans, but it retracts during erection, exposing the glans. Since the glans mucosa is usually hidden under the foreskin, it receives less friction and stimulation in daily life, making the glans mucosa's nerve sensitivity overly heightened. During sexual activity, when the glans is exposed upon erection and comes into friction and stimulation with the vaginal wall, the overly delicate and sensitive glans mucosa nerve can trigger premature ejaculation, leading to the condition.
