Features: This series of studies collects the academic thoughts of renowned scholars during the Republican era in the form of case studies, divided into six volumes: Volume I is on philosophy, Volume II on history, Volume III on Confucian classics and archaeology, Volume IV on linguistics, literature, and aesthetics, Volume V on bibliography, cataloging, historical geography, and religion, and Volume VI on education, science and technology, and art. The division of these volumes is primarily based on the actual development of Republican-era academia and disciplines, as well as the convenience of editing and reader usage. If a case study involves research in multiple disciplines, it is categorized based on the scholar's primary academic achievements. This series records 254 scholars, divided into three types: individual cases, combined cases (e.g., Lu Kanru and Feng Yuanjun's Case Study), and supplementary cases (e.g., Qian Jibo's Case Study followed by Qian Zhongshu's Case Study). The arrangement of scholars in each category follows the chronological order of their birth years.
