Foreign Philosophy (Volume 17)

Author: Compiled by the Editorial Committee of Foreign Philosophy
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2005-09-01
Features: Foreign Philosophy was founded by the Commercial Press in 1984. Over the period from 1984 to 1998, it published a total of fourteen issues, pioneering a new academic style and tradition for the study of foreign philosophy in China after the reform and opening-up, and exerting a broad influence in academia. After discussions with the Commercial Press, starting from the fifteenth issue, the Institute of Foreign Philosophy at Peking University has taken over the responsibilities of manuscript acquisition and editing for Foreign Philosophy. To further enhance the academic standards of the journal, we have adopted the internationally recognized "double-blind" peer-review system. In addition to continuing to publish interpretive essays on the history and classics of foreign philosophy, this journal will place particular emphasis on publishing outstanding works that combine historical analysis with theoretical critique, as well as comparative studies between Chinese and foreign philosophies. We sincerely hope for the support of our colleagues nationwide, and we welcome contributions to make Foreign Philosophy a scholarly haven where eminent scholars gather and diverse perspectives flourish.
