Features: The collation and publication of this volume, titled "Case Records" from the series "Archives of the Batavia Chinese Mansion (Batavia Court)", were included in the international cooperation research project under the framework of Xiamen University's inter-university exchange program starting in the year 2000. The original archival records cover the affairs of the Batavia Chinese Mansion (Court) from June 8, 1832, to August 1, 1834, and from October 20, 1843, to June 7, 1844, spanning a decade. The main text of the book was originally written in traditional Chinese calligraphy, running script, semi-cursive script, and cursive script, interspersed with archaic characters, variant characters, popular characters, and simplified characters in use at the time. In this collation, the text has been standardized to modern simplified Chinese characters. In the original archives, years are denoted using Suzhou numerals, while months and days are written in Chinese characters. In this collation, all dates have been standardized to Arabic numerals. In the original archives, monetary amounts, quantities of items, and numbers of people are often written in both large and small Chinese numerals or Suzhou numerals. In this collation, all monetary, measurement, and numerical data that could include decimals (non-integer values) or numbers in the hundreds and above are uniformly converted to Arabic numerals. For data with multiple levels of measurement units, all have been converted to Arabic numerals in this collation.
