Features: This book divides the development of the Hoa Loi community and the Kapampangan community in post-war Philippine society into six periods: the conflict between the Hoa Loi community and the emergence of Kapampangan community leaders, the initial period of the Kapampangan community leaders, the period of unity among the Hoa Loi community and the growth of Kapampangan community leaders, the period of Hoa-Philippine integration and the stability of Kapampangan community leaders, the turning point of the Kapampangan community leaders and the Hoa-Philippine community, and the Kapampangan community leaders and the Hoa-Philippine community at the turn of the century. It uses sociological conflict theory to analyze the characteristics of the development of Kapampangan community leaders and the Hoa-Philippine community in each period. Looking back at the history of the past half-century since the post-war era, the external and internal conflicts faced by the Hoa-Philippine community have generally shown a trend of mitigation. In the late 1990s, after the Kapampangan community leaders determined a new path of establishing a foothold in the Hoa-Philippine community, integrating with the mainstream Philippine society, and further promoting Hoa-Philippine integration, conflicts both externally and internally within the Hoa-Philippine community showed a widespread easing, creating favorable conditions for the development of Kapampangan community leaders and the Hoa-Philippine community, with optimistic prospects for their future development. The Hoa-Philippine community and the mainstream society are closely interrelated. The factors affecting the development of the Hoa-Philippine community primarily come from the Philippines, including the government's policies toward Chinese people and Hoa-Philippine relations. The Philippine government should pay sufficient attention to this. From the perspective of the Chinese themselves, they should deeply recognize that development must be rooted in the local context, otherwise it will lead to detours; at the same time, they should more actively participate in the construction of the mainstream society to gain recognition and achieve better development.
