Environmental Aesthetics (Appreciation of Nature, Art, and Architecture)

Author: (Canada) Karlson, translated by Yang Ping
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-06-01
Features: Many chapters of this book were originally published as papers in books or periodicals. Except for minor revisions, such as correcting errors, eliminating redundancies, or highlighting connections, these reprinted articles are almost identical to their original publications. I made this choice because it better preserves the integrity and characteristics of each paper, and also because I believe that even in their original form, they collectively form a unified line of thought. The introductions to the two main parts of the book, Chapters 1 and 8, respectively summarize the perspectives of each part and help to further unify the overall content. Moreover, the notes between these two chapters provide extensive contextual references for the remaining sections, as well as situating them within the scope of current literature. In addition to Chapters 1 and 8, the other two chapters, Chapters 2 and 14, have never been published before.
