Publishing Date: 2003-08-01
Features: The editions of Hanji mainly include a manuscript preserved in the National Library of China, a set of copies transmitted by Yin Bingxiang and others in the 10th year of the Guangxu era, now preserved in the Yangzhou Library, the Chuan Yan Zhai Congshu edition of the 11th year of the Guangxu era, the Yangzhou Congke edition compiled by Chen Henghe during the Republic of China, as well as the Congshu Jishu Jixian edition in Taipei, among others. For this collation, the Yangzhou Congke edition preserved by the Yangzhou Guangling Ancient Books Publishing House was used as the base text, with the Chuan Yan Zhai Congshu edition of the Guangxu era as the reference text. The original book cites a large number of references, particularly the Twenty-Four Histories, marked as . The proofreading has strived to verify the original text. The Twenty-Four Histories is based on the punctuation edition published by Zhonghua Book Company. For other references, the best available editions have been selected. The collation method is primarily punctuation. Annotations are provided only when significant differences or errors are found through cross-referencing with other editions. Avoided characters, homophones, and obvious printing errors are corrected directly without annotations. When the book cites references, the author may have added or deleted content. To maintain coherence in the text, quotation marks are used consistently without differentiation. The original citations or marginal notes in the text have been enclosed in parentheses during collation.
