Features: The "Beijing City and Suburban Map" has a scale of 1:50,000 and was published in the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947). It was drawn by the Engineering Bureau of the Beijing Municipal Government and printed and distributed by Lisheng Bookstore. This map is a complete map of Beijing published before the founding of the country, clearly showing the territorial scope of Beijing at that time, stretching from Hui Long Guan in the north to Xi Hong Men in the south, from Hu Yuan Zha in the east to San Jia Dian in the west. It is a political map compiled based on a topographic map, reflecting the conditions of Beijing in the late 1940s and the planning traces along Chang'an Avenue. For ease of reading, the map has been reduced by 0.88 times, but to preserve the original appearance of the map, the scale has not been changed.
