Features: This chart should be hung in a well-lit area, with the height adjusted so that the 1.0 line on the chart is at the same level as the subject's eyes. The subject should stand 5 meters away from the chart, with their face away from the light source to avoid glare. Each eye should be tested separately; when testing one eye, the other eye can be covered with cardboard or similar material without applying pressure. If the subject can clearly see the 10th line from one eye, the vision is normal, indicated by 1.0. If the subject can only see the 9th line or higher, the vision is impaired. If the subject cannot clearly see the "E" letter on the 10th line with one eye, they should be moved forward until they can see it. If they can see it at 4 meters, the vision is 0.08; at 3 meters, 0.06; at 2 meters, 0.04; and at 1 meter, 0.02.
