Features: This is a comprehensive academic journal that focuses on academic reviews, serving as a free platform for intellectuals at home and abroad to evaluate, discuss, and critique academic works and intellectual trends. Its is to construct the Chinese academic tradition, establish an academic criticism system, and enforce strict academic norms, thereby advancing China's academic standardization movement to a new stage. Accordingly, the journal specifically presents two aspects of content: first, it analyzes and critiques academic monographs, research papers, intellectual trends, topics, and knowledge production activities; second, it provides serious and comprehensive critiques or introductions to cutting-edge achievements in social sciences and important works that have been overlooked by academia. China Review adopts a quarterly format, planning to publish 4 issues per year. This issue consists of nine sections: "Theme Reviews," "Reflections and Critiques of the Knowledge Production Machine," "Academic Reviews," "Academic Critiques," "Special Columns," "Chinese Brief Reviews," "Western Brief Reviews," "Prefaces and Postfaces," and "Scholars' Book Recommendations," gathering over 20 high-quality articles by domestic scholars.
