Manhattan EQ - My American Life and Motivational Records

Author: Zhou Li (USA)
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-08-01
Features: Zhou Li, a Chinese-American businessman and writer living in New York, published her autobiographical novel The Chinese Woman in Manhattan in 1992, which caused a sensation in China during the height of the "emigration fever." Now, after a "silence" of 14 years, Zhou Li has released her second work, which is a true record of her observations and experiences over the past 14 years in her work and life. Through this book, you can see the inspiring life of this businesswoman and her delicate and profound emotional world.
Perhaps because I have lived in New York for 20 years and have a special connection to the Columbia University campus, I particularly love the humanistic atmosphere and professors at Columbia. For example, the Nobel Prize-winning economist Professor Mundell, whom I write about in this book, and the Columbia philosophy and history professor whom I most admire—Professor Will Durant, a Pulitzer Prize and Freedom Medal recipient and the author of the 11-volume The Story of Civilization.
Human history is the history of heroes. Heroes were once just ordinary people like you and me. But when fully inspired, a person can become as great as a god—and thus a hero is born. Let us open the book and rekindle our passion for hero worship. Let the wings of emotional intelligence carry us as we soar in the magnificent sky of destiny!
