Features: Mr. Ni, styled Zhecun, was born on July 28, 1906, in Liuli, Wujiang. His father, Di Min, was a scholar, and his mother, Zhang Lanfen, came from a scholarly family, giving birth to nine children, with Mr. Ni being the youngest. The collected works of Mr. Ni are the second volume in the "Collection of Legal Masters of East Wu," and their compilation and publication are highly valued by Soochow University as well as a significant event in the history of Chinese law. The manuscript is primarily organized chronologically, comprising eight sections: Youth, Early Adulthood, The Tokyo Trial, Resigning from Office and Teaching, Transferring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The International Court of Justice, Old Age and Vigor, and Preface by Mr. Ni. The appendix includes an introduction, rare historical photographs of Mr. Ni, followed by his chronology, postscript, and other materials. The manuscript is approximately 800,000 words. "Ni Zheng (Japan-Austria) Legal Collection" is a precious legacy left by Mr. Ni for the international legal community, which will inspire Chinese international law scholars and practitioners to keep pace with the times, serve human progress, and make greater contributions to promoting and maintaining peace, as well as fostering development and cooperation!
