Features: "Study abroad," a familiar yet unfamiliar term; "International students," a group of strangers yet familiar people. Today, perhaps you still yearn for the life of studying abroad; tomorrow, maybe your siblings, classmates, or even yourself will become part of it. From the days when Rong Cong studied hard at Yale University, where the first Chinese students appeared in Western universities, to contemporary Chinese students spreading their footsteps across university campuses in over 100 countries worldwide. They left behind many memorable stories. Now, what we record is the life of contemporary international students themselves. From high school students to undergraduate students, and then to master's, doctoral, and even postdoctoral researchers, fellow countrymen from the fertile Northeast provinces, the prosperous coastal regions, and the mysterious Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, they have shone for their motherland with their intelligence and wisdom at various schools, universities, and research institutes in Germany. In the lively dormitories or quiet rented apartments, they have spent some of the most important years of their lives,, leaving their mark in the land of Germany, a country with a long history and culture that values rationality. To help our fellow countrymen gain a more authentic understanding of all aspects of studying abroad, our articles are organized in the order of the study-abroad process, supplemented by various explanations, which will also provide practical assistance to those who are about to go abroad.
