The "120-Minute Series" is an imported book from NEXUS Publishing House in Korea. The reason our press chose to import this series is mainly based on the following factors:
First, both China and Korea are part of the Chinese character cultural sphere, with a long history of cultural exchange. In modern times, both countries place great emphasis on English education and learning, considering English as a compulsory foreign language course. Chinese and Korean learners often encounter similar challenges in learning English, making it possible for them to communicate and learn from each other. English grammar is widely recognized as one of the difficulties in learning English. This book systematically organizes the difficulties that Eastern learners may face in studying English grammar from the perspective of the learner.
Second, it proposes a new method for learning English grammar. China has already published many excellent books on English grammar learning, but most of them involve textbook-based study. This book breaks the traditional model of learning English grammar by listening to tapes. This is a brand-new learning method that allows readers to flexibly arrange their time and place, enabling them to study English grammar without referring to the book.
Third, it introduces the concept of "120 minutes." The scope of English grammar is very broad, but this book selects its core content and condenses it into a 120-minute lecture, allowing readers to master essential grammar knowledge in a short time, thereby improving learning efficiency.
Lastly, the audio recordings reflect a new approach. The recording method of the tapes accompanying this book is very different from previous ones. It changes the rigid style of reading example sentences from the book one by one and adopts a "talk show" format, where the author and their partner explain English grammar in a relaxed and enjoyable conversational manner, giving a fresh and natural feel. Both have accurate pronunciation and perfect coordination, making it possible for readers to learn English grammar in a pleasant atmosphere.
