This book was commissioned by the Teaching and Textbook Review Committee of Southwest University of Political Science and Law and was written as a textbook for undergraduate students in the law and criminal investigation programs at the university. Researching and studying criminal psychology has urgent practical significance: a large number of legal and political cadres urgently need to master the theoretical knowledge of criminal psychology to continuously improve their theoretical level and practical work capabilities; the general public also urgently needs to understand and study criminal psychology to enhance their crime prevention awareness and improve their ability to resist victimization. Therefore, the publication of this book serves as both a teaching resource for criminal psychology courses in law schools and a response to the urgent need for criminal psychology learning among legal and political cadres, legal workers, psychological professionals, and the general public.
This book emphasizes both theory and practice, combining inheritance with exploration. It systematically explores the psychological characteristics of various crime types from the perspective of criminal psychological mechanisms, while also proposing new insights for effective crime prediction and prevention based on China's comprehensive governance approach through the study of various crime psychological phenomena.
