Features: This textbook was compiled based on the teaching plan formulated at the 1977 Metallurgical Industry Ministry Higher Education Textbook Conference. The book is divided into nine chapters: Chapter 1 explains some basic concepts of fluids, Chapters 2 to 4 describe the fundamental laws of fluid equilibrium and mechanical motion, Chapters 5 to 7 illustrate the application of these fundamental laws in pressurized pipelines, open channels, orifices and nozzles, weirs, and other areas, Chapter 8 briefly introduces the similarity of fluid flow and the π theorem, and Chapter 9 explains the working principles, performance, and selection principles of fluid machinery such as pumps and fans. These contents emphasize strengthening fundamental theories while also considering the characteristics of the mineral processing major, while also catering to the needs of related majors such as mining, mining machinery, metallurgical machinery, and others. The lecture hours range from 50 to 75, and can be selected accordingly. Sections marked with an asterisk are optional or reference content.
