How to handle the position for newborn resuscitation?

Patient's question:

What are the positions for newborn resuscitation? What are the main situations that require resuscitation? Please provide a detailed answer, thank you.

Doctor's answer:

Initial resuscitation; requires completion within 15-20 seconds after birth;
① Keeping warm; due to poor conditions; immediately place the newborn on a preheated radiant warmer after delivery;
(2) Reducing heat loss: Dry the head and body thoroughly with warm, dry towels;
(3) Setting body posture: The shoulder pad should be elevated 2-3 cm to slightly extend the neck.
(4) Clearing the airway: Immediately suction out mucus from the mouth, pharynx, and nasal cavity, with the duration not exceeding 10 seconds. If the amniotic fluid is contaminated with meconium, the mouth and nose should be suctioned clean immediately before delivery. After the shoulder is delivered, the meconium in the airway should be flushed under a laryngoscope before the first breath.
(5) Tactile stimulation: After the above treatments, if the newborn still does not breathe, gently tap or rub the soles 1-2 times to induce breathing.
