The Monthly Review of Civil and Commercial Law aims to establish a platform for exchange, providing a vibrant space for the legal community to explore new perspectives in legal research. Although focused on civil and commercial law, this series also welcomes broad private law topics. The development of the civil litigation system, such as the upcoming legislative reforms in mainland China and the intensive reforms in Taiwan, has been highly regarded in recent years. This issue's thematic discussion specifically invites three scholars from mainland China—Chen Gang, Li Xilian, and Tan Qiugui—and two professors from Taiwan—Jiang Shiming and Wei Daling—to enrich the theory and practice of civil litigation law from different perspectives.
