Features: The National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology Promotion Program is a rolling program. In 2004, through recommendation, preliminary review, expert evaluation, peer review, and field inspections, 79 projects were selected from 108 applications. Approved by the China Environmental Protection Industry Association and filed by the State Environmental Protection Administration, these projects were listed as the National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technologies for 2004. The evaluation and promotion work for the National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology Demonstration Projects officially began in 2002. After recommendations from various local and departmental authorities, the China Environmental Protection Industry Association organized expert evaluations and field inspections. Ultimately, approved by the State Environmental Protection Administration, 12 projects in 2002 and 20 projects in 2003 were respectively listed as the National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology Demonstration Projects for 2002 and 2003. These projects feature advanced technology, mature processes, reliable operation, and economic feasibility. Their widespread promotion and application will be beneficial to the development of China's environmental protection industry and the improvement of environmental quality. Environmental protection administrative authorities at all levels should strictly implement the "Management Measures for the National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technology Promotion Program" and encourage the priority use of National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technologies and Demonstration Projects in environmental management. To enable National Key Environmental Protection Practical Technologies to directly reach end-users and facilitate information exchange, we have compiled and published this collection. This collection clearly and concisely introduces the scope of application, basic principles, process flows, technical indicators, benefit analysis, and technical services of each technology and demonstration project.
