What is varicocele?

Patient's question:

Doctor, what is varicocele? I really don't know why this problem has reappeared again, because wasn't varicocele usually more common in the legs? Why would it occur in such an embarrassing location? What should I do now?

Doctor's answer:

What you mentioned as varicose veins is actually a small part of varicocele. This condition should be diagnosed as varicocele. If it recurs, the next progression in the leg, when going to bed, we should diagnose it as lower limb varicose veins. These are two different diseases with different treatments. Varicocele, including testicular varicocele, can be resolved through surgical treatment in general. High ligation surgery is usually performed.
