Features: The Lonely Heart includes two Harry Potter fanfiction works, one featuring Snape as the protagonist (The Lonely Heart) and the other featuring Sirius Black as the protagonist (A Love Beyond Reach). It is one of the most popular Harry Potter fanfiction novels online. The Lonely Heart takes place on Christmas Eve, where Slytherin girl Evelyn is forced by Professor Snape to drink the Potion of Loneliness under his command. An evil witch uses telepathy to make Evelyn realize her unspoken feelings for Professor Snape and fabricates a story about Snape's past involving loneliness and love. The story is set in the era when Voldemort again stirred up disaster in the magical world. Orphan Mei is rescued by graduate Snape on the first day of school, and five years later, Snape returns to the magical school as a Potions professor. A chance encounter rekindles Mei's faint affection, and as students and teachers watch, she dances the dance of secret love. Her passion clashes with Snape's indifference. Meanwhile, a secret about her origins gradually comes to light, and Snape mysteriously disappears from Hogwarts. Through this love story that ends without resolution, Evelyn finally understands the hidden depths of Professor Snape, while the untraceable bond of life and death in the story fades away with the witch's smiling disappearance on Christmas Eve. A Love Beyond Reach tells the story of young Sirius Black, who breaks away from his family's obsessive blood purity cult and its indiscriminate alignment of good and evil. He meets his younger brother's fiancée, a French girl named Beth Newman, who is determined to marry into his family to protect its status. From initial antagonism to eventual mutual understanding and respect, their connection feels both natural and uncontrollable. However, after enduring many trials, they gradually realize that they are merely parallel lines—no matter how miraculously they spark love, they can never intersect. As time passes and the person they love departs, the one left behind can only live in memories and promises, cherishing the love that belongs to them but remains beyond reach.
