It explores the most advanced methods and methodologies in archaeological science, showcasing the significant achievements in archaeological science over the past decade, providing highly valuable scientific information for the development of archaeology in China. At the beginning of the book, there is a discussion by renowned experts in the field of archaeology in China, which will have an important academic guiding role in the development of Chinese archaeological science. At the time of compiling the "Collection of Archaeological Science," I shared some of the opinions mentioned above, hoping that the Archaeological Science Center of the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, after walking the path of scientific research for 10 years, should continue to uphold its academic responsibilities, clarify its academic direction, advance to the forefront of academia, bravely take on academic responsibilities, and better and more extensively apply natural sciences and technologies to archaeology. For archaeology, the widespread and in-depth application of modern natural sciences and technologies in archaeology will bring a "revolution" to archaeology in the 21st century. Any conservative or unchanging disciplinary methods and theories will lack vitality. Therefore, we should open our arms to welcome the modernized and scientific archaeology of the 21st century, brought about by the application of modern natural sciences and technologies in archaeology!
