Features: The Chinese herbal medicine industry in China has been developing continuously and has become a strategic industry with strong development advantages and broad market prospects in the national economy and social development. Currently, China's herbal medicine industry has preliminarily formed an industrial system with certain scale and complete structure, especially showing a rapid growth trend in recent years, making it an important component of China's pharmaceutical economy and industry system. Compared to chemical pharmaceuticals and other industries, the herbal medicine industry is deeply rooted in China's profound traditional culture and possesses full independent intellectual property rights, making it one of China's industries with international comparative advantages. China has the world's richest natural medicinal resources. Currently, the total area of medicinal plant cultivation across the country exceeds 600,000 hectares, with an annual medicinal plant procurement volume reaching 10 million tons, 80% of which comes from artificial cultivation. Cultivating medicinal materials is an excellent way to increase farmers' income. With the continuous deepening of agricultural industrial restructuring, an increasing number of people are actively participating in the production of medicinal materials, demonstrating great expertise in areas such as production, processing, and sales, with some becoming leaders in achieving prosperity and a well-off life. To support the Ministry of Agriculture's "Agricultural Technology Household Project" and provide scientific guidance for farmers in the production of medicinal materials, thereby improving their economic income, we have organized relevant personnel to compile the book "New Techniques for the Cultivation and Storage Processing of Forsythia." This book mainly includes an overview, excellent varieties, requirements for environmental conditions during growth and development, cultivation and management techniques, pest and disease control techniques, and storage and processing techniques.
