Check if the prostate hurts or not?

Patient's question:

I have pain in my urethra. I thought it was urethritis and went to the children's hospital for intravenous infusion and medication. After two days, it seems to have subsided a little, and the severity has reduced, but I still feel lower back pain and some abdominal pain. The doctor at the children's hospital recommended that I have a thorough examination of my prostate to check if it hurts.

Doctor's answer:

For the careful examination of prostatitis, there are both health check-ups and auxiliary examinations. Most auxiliary examinations are painless. Generally, for the examination of prostatitis, color Doppler ultrasound can be used as a non-invasive method, or a prostatic fluid test can be performed. Additionally, a digital rectal examination or prostatic needle biopsy can be conducted. Routine examinations are painless, but needle biopsy or digital rectal examination may cause physical discomfort.
