Through positive exposition, it clarifies several major right-and-wrong issues in modern Chinese history and addresses some concerns of cadres during their studies.
The book consists of 12 chapters. The first six chapters describe the beginning of modern Chinese history and the basic process of the old democratic revolution, while the last six chapters focus on explaining the profound changes in the nature, tasks, targets, and revolutionary prospects of the democratic revolution after the birth of the Communist Party of China, as well as the historical inevitability of the Party leading the Chinese people to victory in the democratic revolution.
