Patient's question:
Married for over a year, neither breastfeeding nor having children, so I had my wife get a thorough check-up. She's fine, so they told me to get a thorough check-up myself. I've never heard of male infertility before. I'd like to ask what are the causes of male infertility?Doctor's answer:
(l) Obstacles in spermatogenesis: such as congenital testicular dysgenesis, testicular tuberculosis, cryptorchidism, orchitis caused by second-degree neurons of mumps, or testicular atrophy and radiation.(2) Obstruction of sperm delivery: such as inflammation of the vas deferens, epididymis, ejaculatory duct, and urethra, which can lead to repeated failure in the injection of semen, thereby affecting fertility.
(3) Ejaculation disorders: such as premature ejaculation, genital deformities, and trauma, which prevent men from engaging in normal sexual activity, preventing semen from entering the female reproductive tract, thus causing infertility.
(4) Other factors: such as severe malnutrition, leukemia, anemia, toxic substance poisoning, and long-term heavy smoking and drug use. Additionally, many inflammatory conditions are also major causes of infertility.
