Pencil drawing techniques

Features: The nib of the pen is tubular, and the ink is specialized ink. The construction of the nib differs from the traditional fixed nib style of the feather pen – this traditional style of nib, due to uneven pressure, results in uneven line widths. In contrast, the smooth, replaceable nib of the pen tube can continuously draw a specific line width, and the small tubular metal nib maintains consistent line width regardless of the paper texture direction. The main source of the works in this book is my own work. Any work in the book without an author's name is mine. My works demonstrate a combination – this is the integration of a large number of highly formal, structured drawings resulting from decades of uninterrupted practice in pen and ink, and relaxed, highly personalized sketches. I recognize that some sketches have limitations, but they are the core part of most pen and ink processes, and fully demonstrate many techniques and strategies that are often overlooked.
