Features: The bold style of Ci poetry has its own unique aspects in handling themes, expressing emotions, constructing imagery, using allusions, and selecting words. It breaks the traditional constraint of Ci poetry, which has been dominated by the gentle and sentimental style, often focusing on themes like "grieving spring and parting." It broadens the scope, ranging from the rise and fall of nations, historical changes, the joys and sorrows of life, and the mysteries of the universe to ambitions for fame and glory, patriotic sentiments, friendships, and inner thoughts, encompassing everything. It reflects the changing tides of the times and pays attention to the diverse aspects of society and life, possessing strong realistic significance and social value. In terms of emotional expression, bold Ci poetry often directly conveys personal feelings, brimming with passion, exuding a sense of grandeur and heroism, and possessing a strong subjective tone and an energetic spirit. As the saying goes, it can move heaven and earth and move ghosts to tears, leaving people deeply moved and impressed. In terms of writing techniques, bold Ci poetry frequently uses allusions to reflect on the past and lament the present, expressing the poet's feelings about current events through historical memories and reflections. The past and present are organically blended, endowing the Ci poems with an indescribably rich social content. The bold Ci poems selected in this book are representative of the overall style and are not limited to the works of bold Ci poets. The themes include ambitions for fame and serving the nation, as well as climbing high to reflect on the past and composing odes to part with friends. Although not all allusions are annotated, they are as comprehensive and clear as possible.
