Is my sexual activity causing infertility?

Patient's question:

I have had the habit of sexual intercourse for 12 years, and I have been married for 6 years as well. Even after marriage, I still have the habit of sexual intercourse. We haven’t had any children yet since getting married. My wife had a thorough medical check-up, and there were no issues found. I started wondering if my sexual intercourse is the cause of our infertility?

Doctor's answer:

In the clinical diagnosis process, we do not oppose sexual intercourse for married men, mainly regarding frequency. Based on age, those under 30 are limited to 1-2 times per week. If it is too frequent, it may lead to chronic prostatitis in the urogenital system, causing symptoms such as frequent urination, white discharge at the end of urination, discomfort in the lower abdomen and perineum, lower back pain and weakness, reduced libido, premature ejaculation, and anejaculation. However, sexual intercourse has no direct relationship with male infertility.
