Like us, heroes

Features: This book tells the story of the fall of the Berlin Wall. However, it is a fabricated story; it seems as if the fall of the Berlin Wall was the work of a single individual. And the way this fabricated story is told makes one believe it. Perhaps it really was like that. If one person can single-handedly block a column of advancing tanks, then one person can also single-handedly bring down the Berlin Wall. I wrote the novel "Heroes Like Us" to convey this message to the world. The word "I" in the novel is me, and this is no coincidence. Similarly, the title "Heroes Like Us" involves a sense of collectivism, and this is also no coincidence. The past century was marked by a great struggle, where people inevitably fought for themselves in the face of overwhelming ideologies. Twentieth-century ideologies used people without distinction, despite their vast differences. To talk about me is treacherous, because those who talk about me no longer want to hide behind our people, the working class, the Aryan race, the party, the progressive forces, and so on.
